About

Thanks for visiting Retirement 365 — my chronicle of my first year as a retired teacher. I think that the word retirement is a misnomer, because I know very few retirees who are actually not leading full and active lives. There’s not much “retiring” being done…

I’ve got a massive amount of catching up to do around my house, my yard, and my social life. Maybe somewhere along this year’s journey I’ll find what my next role in life is destined to be. I hope you will stay with me for the ride this year.

  1. We have a mutual friend who passed on your blog address to me. I also too just recently retired from the corporate world and am also catching up on my house, yard and social life – all which have been sadly neglected for many years. Oh yeah – can’t forget that I am also catching up with my husband and so-to-be 17 yr old son who so far seem to be glad that wife/mom is home. I am looking forward to following your blog. FYI…love the background 1950’s wallpaper.

    1. Sorry it’s taken me a while to respond to your kind nomination; I’ve been sick with a nasty cold. Watch for my “acceptance speech” soon. 🙂
